Since 2015, when Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy (formerly know as The Belo Foundation) launched its initiative to create more green spaces in the city’s urban center, DDPC has benefitted from invaluable support provided by citizens like you. So we’re excited to report that $35 million to complete construction on Carpenter Park, Harwood Park and West End Plaza has been included in the latest bond park proposition, which will also help fund park, trail and aquatic projects all across Dallas.
However, we still need your help! Before Dallas can open new public spaces and connect communities through this green initiative, we all need to get more involved in the conversations surrounding the city’s priorities. If you’re interested in learning more about the 2017 City of Dallas Capital Bond Program, several citizen town hall meetings are scheduled to convene over the course of the following week.
